How hard is it to be an author?

If becoming a published author is such a dream of yours then I suggest you read Noah Lukeman's books, especially The First Five Pages. Noah Lukeman is a literary agent who has published several books regarding writing and being published. He even has a few e-books you are able to download for free off his website. I suggest you keep writing and begin doing research about what you need to do in order to be published. Noah Lukeman's books are a great place to start. One big thing I will say is that it greatly increases your chances of having a book published if you have previously been published in places such as magazines, uming the magazine is prestigious enough. You don't want to include things like your school newspaper because that will sound amateur. Good luck!
