You know, people who want to make fun of you will always be able to zoom in on something. The trick is to not let it work, and if you take the fun out of it they will stop. Birth marks are extremely common, and for the most part the location of yours isn't going to be that apparent. While you are playing basketball, the focus will be on the ball, your hands, and perhaps your face. It's not going to be on the underside of your arm. Should some really insensitive type happen to p a remark, a good freezing look from you- like you would give a particularly nasty looking piece of trash, should pretty much stop the conversation at that point. If you feel the need to make a remark, simply acknowledge that "duh, yeah, it's a birthmark - Mr. (or Ms) Brillaint. Didn't you learn about those in science cl?" , ought to get the point made nicely. If you refuse to be embared about it, then you won't be. Also, I would like to point out that we decide how to feel about things. Nobody can actually make you feel embared, mad or any other emotion. You pull those strings. If you refuse to be embared about it, you won't be. It will also leave the stupid one looking and feeling stupid. Wear your jersey as you like, and don't worry about the birthmark. At least it is one remarkable feature, unique as the rest of you. It's a cafe au lait birthmark, if you want the technical name. My mom used to call all birthmarks "angel kisses". She said you were such a special baby, the angel who brought you marked you special so the others would all know. So enjoy your angel kiss, dear.

Later in the book there appears to be a copycat with the same M.O. as the first serial killer, but the copycat is missing teeth so the police think it's not the same person. It turns out it is the same person, he just takes out his bridge/dentures/false teeth when he does the copycat killings. The serial killer also has a mom that begs for money in the subway if I remember right. And she hoards newspapers or something. Today I saw a turtle crossing the road. I swerved to avoid hitting it and thought about going back to move it to the ditch. I work in the homeland security field in the airport. I take dangerous objects form people every day. Not everyone carrying dangerous materials would I consider a terrorist, but I will say, people are stupid and try to get through with things like knives, cork openers, fertilizer, big batteries, etc. Another thing I see is smokers forgetting they have cigs and lighters in their pockets. I honestly think people try to test the system some times, but as far as preventing a high jacking? Getting sick after an all nighter?

I'm 13 and i just heard today that some people get sick after an all nighter. And i thought about how a few months ago i was at a sleepover with 2 of my friends and we stayed up until 7am just drinking pop and eating junk food all night. Then we slept till like 12. So i kinda got like 5 hours of sleep but i was SO tired when we got up. After that we had breakfast and i started feeling really sick and i was nauseous for like 3 days after that night. Kids shared changing room?

When i was young, abt 9 years old, i attended swimming lessons held by the sch. After the swimming lesson, our teacher will tell all of us to go to the kids changing room which was shared between boy and girls. How can I save my little tree?

I am not sure of the variety, but it is a small tree, possibly a shrub. I'm pretty sure it is a gardenia. Right now (and when I purchased it) it is about 4 feet tall, with the trunk about 2 feet tall. The leafy part is about 1 1/2 feet tall and about 2 feet wide. I bought it from Home Depot in February of this year, and it has not bloomed at all. For a while, there were a lot of buds on it, but none of them opened up. They just turned brown and fell off. Now the leaves are starting to turn yellow, and I'm sure it's not because of over-watering, as we have been dry for a while, watering scarcely. We planted it directly outside our front door (east-facing), and I think the problem may be too much sun. Why doesn't my church allow me to perform exorcisms at church?

There happens to be many member at my church who I know to be fornicators, s, drunkards,etc and I am quite aware of the grip that Satan has on them. I would even go so far as to say they are demon possessed. I have spoken to my pastor many times about these people and how I feel that they are in need of an exorcism and he will always feeds me the same old line of bs telling me that they just need to repent of their sins and only a priest is authorized to conduct an exorcism. I am sorry but I am a man of the lord and a man of action who will singlehandedly drive these demons out of these poor souls. I have watched the exorcist enough times to know what to do anyways. Well, this last Sunday I went to church with a crucifix in one pocket and a bottle of holy water in the other before I attempted my first exorcism. I had been sitting next to an elderly woman by the name of Jane who is a cancer patient that enjoys smoking marijuana which is clearly a terrible sin that will send her to the depths of hellfire. I know that the Devil has taken a hold of this woman and I was bound and determined to drive those demons out!! During our moment of silence I took my vile of holy water out of my pocket and doused her with it from head to toe before shoving my crucifix against her forhead while shouting "THE POWER OF THE LORD WILL REPEL YOU!!! THE POWER OF THE LORD WILL REPEL YOU!!!" I could not tell if she was having a heart attack or just a violent reaction from the holy water though I knew that this is what I had to do to drive the demons out. For some odd reason I was escorted from my church and told that I will be arrested if I ever dared to return. Folks, I need to find a new church where people are serious about driving out the demons which infest so many poor souls. Any suggestions?

There is something called referred pain, which is pain in a certain part of your body that is caused by something else in your body. An example would be left arm pain with heart attack victims. This could be caused by something else even though the appendix is in that area. I highly recommending getting a second opinion.

I am going to make dr appt today, hopefully ill get in this week, I just hope someone can give me info, I have been having like a pressure on my right side. sometimes I get like a pressure or almost like someone poking me from the inside out directly under my right . Then the pressure will run down my side and go into front right side and also into right back side. Then it feels llike a pinched nerve under my right shoulder blade, almost like a pinched nerve I guess, its tingling under shoulder blade. The pressure has been goin on bout 5 years. Sometimes when I take a deep breath it hurts under right shoulder blade. I have gone to dr about 2 months ago and they did ultrasound of gallbladder and it was normal, they ran a bunch of bloodwork and an h-phylori for ulcers, all that was all normal. I get heartburn alot and I take rantidine or protonix for that. I am scared so bad that it is something serious. I did talk to someone and they said they had some of same issues and their ultrasound came back fine but their problem still went on, then they ordered a HIDA scan and she had to have her gall bladder removed. I am just scared, im 32 and i guess in pretty good health otherwise. I have also had 2-3 EKGS done and they were normal. I really stress bad about this and I don't want too, but I fear of having a terminal cancer, I fear they will say they cant fix it, and also I exercise alot and I feel great, other than the stuff i listed, no appetite loss, no major weight loss, even with me exercising, uugghh. lol. Adobe has a lot of sound editing software like SoundBooth but that is $199.00 so that is kind of expensive for the stuff you want to do. There is Cyberlink Power Director, that is what I use. You cant do any sound editing except for adjusting volume levels wherever you want in the song. You can also do up to 4 audio tracks so you can add, for an example, an explosion during the song.

One wiper blade isnt working!?

I have a 2003 Nissan Frontier. The drivers side wiper arm isnt moving at all. On closer inspection I noticed that the motor is working and the pivot the blade sits on is spinning when I turn on the wipers, but its not moving the arm. Is something stripped? My Dell Inspiron 1501 won't start windows?

Hi - I have a dell INSPIRON 1501. Yesturday, my computer started and my Internet Explorer open about 64 times, literally. So, I turned it off manually by holding down the power on. I went to go start it again, and my computer will not open windows. Instead, it starts with the normal DELL Lingo -(not the blue bar saying www.dell.com)- and goes to choices, (1) Launch Startup Repair or (2) Start Windows normally. I cannot start windows normally, because it will go black, reset and do the same thing over. And when I hit "Launch Startup Repair", it goes to a blue screen, witch says "STOP: c000021a {Fatal System error}. The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc0000221 0x0010037c). The system has been shut down " <--thats what my laptop says. Its the "Blue Screen Of Death". I've done DIAGNOSTICS, and nothing is solving anything. There is no safe mode anymore, now there is only Hard Drive - USB Storage - CD-ROM Drive - Removable Devices - Broadcome PXE - or Diagnostics - <- No safemode. I also tried to reset my whole laptop, buy hitting CTRL F11 - but there is no more screen where it has the website in blue on top. Is there anything I can do now, or is my dell 1501 fried and not usable?? Please, HELP!

What could be causing my knee pain?

I injured my knee when i was 14 playing soccer, i remember hearing it pop. It bothers me a lot now 6 years later. I never really got it checked out because i thought that the pain would go away, that i just needed time to let it heal up a little bit. The pain eventually went away but then i started noticing that my knee was giving out when i walked especially when i went up stairs. And these past 2 years it has gotten pretty bad, it gives out all the time, it pops like crazy when ever i move it, and i get these sharp pains in the left side of my knee that feel like they are down IN my knee. I havent been able to get it checked out because my insurance couldnt cover a specialist. Now i have a lot better insurance and can get it checked out but i dont want to go ahead with this unless there could be something seriously wrong. I did the symptom checker on webmd and it said that it could be my ACL joint and thats what my finace said and I trust his opinion since hes had a knee replacement and his other knee is bad. And I know that ACL tearing is common in sports injuires.

How can I break it to my aunt that her beloved dog is going to end up biting a child?

My aunt and uncle have this dachshund named Lucy and they love her to death especially my uncle. As funny as it sounds he babies that dog to death. Anyway the dog has developed small dog syndrome from all of this babying and is now becoming aggressive. Everytime they get fast food they will give her some of the food and have even bought her a cup of soft serve ice cream before. Best remedy for cleaning VERY dirty 14K Gold rope chain. I never removed it..ever!!?

The chain is quite thick and heavy so will with-stand any sort of cleaner. I use one I got at a Department Store that has a Jewelry Dept.- in a jar & put the chain part in and left my locket out by letting it hang over the jar opening edge with the top as a stopper. She has no access to a Jewelry Dept store where she lives and cannot wear it as dirty as it is & wondered if her denture cleanser would work. I suggested Alka-Seltzer or Peroxide and a toothbrush, and a good rinse after and dry with a clean soft white cloth. Any other suggestions?? All dirt and junk already inside the chain are sealed in there with hair-spray..so should be able to withstand something at least over night. Anxiously awaiting any answers.!!!

How many o2 sensors does a 96 mazda mx6 have?

My mechanic has fixed the o2 sensor but the check engine light is still reading o2 sensor. I just had an engine swap with the same v6 but I have a hunch that it's from the ford probe, since it's the same engine. With that being said the engine may have less o2 sensors than the computer requires if the probe requires less. Milking goats?

What happens to goats when they've finished their milking life? Some goat farms have about 5000 goats on them for milking for cheese, yoghurt, er and milk. What happens to the goat when they've finished with it? I know we eat cows etc, but we don't eat goat meat in England so where does it go? You don't even get goat flavour dog food. I'm puzzled!

26 weeks pregnant with triplets and absolutely miserable?

Hi, I am 26 weeks pregnant with spontaneous triplets. These will be my 4th, 5th, and 6th babies. I have a 17 month old at home and minimal help to take care of her. I have sciatica so bad that some days I can barely walk. My doctor is about the worst doctor I have ever been to. He refuses to prescribe me any medication for my back or to sleep. I went to my appointment the other day because I have a lump on my outer labia and he suggested neosporin. It isn't working and he won't prescribe me anything even though he said it is an infection. I am uninsured due to a divorce battle and need a new doctor but can't find one that will take me. I know I'm just complaining but I'm so miserable. Are there any other moms of triplets that felt like this? I can't wait for this to be over.

Severly depressed at university?

Been there, doing that. My period in the dorm seemed interminable, especially at first. Definitely wasn't used to the drunken shoutings, pointless interruptions, and awkward roommate tension in a place that is supposed to be your home. Of course, everyone is expected to blend into that whole Animal House thing. I think university years are sometimes just rigorous tests to see who makes it out alive. Or graduated. Anyway, don't let it all wear you down because even though it seems like there is nobody who has the same views you do, there are. Finding people who are relaxed and not into the party/wasted stupor scene will help you get some of your issues off your chest. Also, even though you're technically at school, try to give yourself some slack. Hard work has to be tempered by letting yourself do something you enjoy on a regular basis, whether it's a hobby or hanging out with people or just sitting and thinking. If your roommates are seriously uncooperative, see if it's possible to move. Also, is your campus has student counseling services, go. They are really helpful, even more so because they are specialized to the particular point in life you're at. This is the best advice I can offer and best wishes in sticking it out.

Starting to pump milk this late in the game?

Hello everyone. I have a 10 month old daughter who has been exclusively fed. She is getting close to the one year mark, and we are starting to think about weaning. She has never taken a bottle well, and she hates the taste of formula. I recently bought a pump, os she can have the flavor she loves in a cup. I would love to start replacing a few feedings a day with this. I am lucky enough to stay home with her. I am just so unsure when to pump! She is still establishing a schedule, and I nurse on demand. I would say she goes about 3-4 hours during the day without nursing, and 7-9 hours over night. I know that milk is produced on a supply and demand basis, and that the is never "empty"... but, the two times I have tried to pump so far I have gotten pretty much nothing. On one side less than .5 of an ounce. On the other side the amount was so small it was unmeasurable. Help!

Could it be my kidneys The pain is terrible?

My problem is on my right side of my back I have terrible pain its been about a week now it hurts with the slightest touch,usually when I urinate I go alot but in the past week it seems like it isn't all coming out,Im not going often no burning so I don't think its an UTI. my back feels swollen on that side Im uninsured so if anyone knows what this may be & how to treat at home I really appreciate the advice

You have created a number of major characters (an ensemble cast) so would have to write stories for each one and somehow tie them all together since they will be working at the same hotel and interacting (in a complex fashion) with each other. I think that you should first outline your plot, deciding how your characters' stories will eventuate, and, once you've done that, try writing the story. Only by actually writing it will you discover whether it will work for you. I think that it has potential; I'd like to read what you create. (Don't bother "casting" it yet!) Good luck!

I have read pretty much all of the novels I'm going to read in school which are clics. From George Orwell's '1984' to John Steinback's 'Gs of Wrath'. Mouthwash on a canker sore?

I seriously just had a canker sore last week on the opposite side of my mouth, and now it's back but on the other side. Anyway, to treat my last canker sore I dipped Q-tips in mouthwash and applied it to my sore. It seems to have worked very well. It relieved my pain and it healed it pretty fast. I've heard there are some harmful things in mouthwash, though. Could this method be bad for me, or could it hurt me in any way?

4 year old poodle turning vicious?

So we have a toy poodle and he is 4. Within the last year he has started turning vicious. Now don't get me wrong, normally he is a loving, sweet, cute little thing but he is starting to growl and bite. He has always been protective. If someone tried to attack us, he will start barking and snipping at their ankles. He makes a good guard dog because he barks whenever someone walks by. We tried the squirt bottle trick but didn't work. Anyway, there are a few things he will not allow us to do. If we drop food and try to take it back from him, he will bite you, snip at you, or run away behind the couch. It is hard to stay mad at him because 10 minutes later he will come up and be loving. He will also bite us if we try to brush his teeth. There also have been a couple incidences where he will run out of the house and snip at peoples ankles walking by. It scares them but he only does it to certain people and it is really embarring. Finally, we take turns having the dog sleep in are beds [my daughter (15) , son (17) , then me and my husband. He enjoys sleeping in are bed the most, and if he comes to bed with us but then my daughter or son come in to get him before bed, he will growl and try to bite them when they pick him up. Usually he is fine as soon as he gets into their rooms, I am just not quite sure what to do.

My "S" has a slight "sch" sound. When I was younger it was a big, obvious thing - lots of other kids commented on it. ("See" sounded more like "schee"). Now, no one ever comments on it, but my parents tell me it's still there, but in a very small way. Is it too late to fix it? Should I go to a speech therapist or something?

When I was finally 5th in line, they announced the only remaining tickets were obstructed view. I got them anyway. The only real obstruction was that we couldn't see Linda. There were huge screens so she could be easily seen on 'TV." I found out later that her mikes weren't even on. This was the "Flowers in the Dirt" tour.
